How does it work?
If a resource has cooldown-time set in its settings, the resource will automatically be blocked for the additional time after the booking ends. During this period, no new bookings can be made for that resource.
Examples of use
Charging an electric bike:
A bike is booked for 2 hours but needs 60 minutes of charging afterwards before the next customer can use it fully charged. Set the downtime to 60 minutes.
Sauna cleaning:
The sauna is booked for 1 hour and requires 30 minutes of cleaning afterwards. Add 30 minutes of downtime.
Rest for dogs:
After each husky tour, the dogs need time to recover. For example, add 3 hours of downtime between bookings.
FAQ'S
Is the downtime visible on the customer’s booking?
No. Downtime is not shown to the customer and does not appear in their booking.
However, downtime does affect availability in the system. In the availability view, times following a booking will appear limited or unavailable, as the resource remains occupied during the downtime period.
