All products must have at least one base price to be bookable. Learn how to set prices for your products and experiences.
The price of the product should be considered a price rule, meaning how the price should be calculated for a certain booking duration, for a certain price category.
In the product settings for a product, open the Prices tab.
Click "New Base Price" button.
Select which category the price should belong to. If you have multiple prices for the same product, such as adult & child prices, you need to create different price categories.
Choose between the price types 'Fixed Price', 'Price per...', and 'Structured Price'. The differences between these are explained below.
Different Price Types
Fixed Price - If the price is independent of the booking length, this is a suitable choice. Fixed Price is also suitable to use when the product is always booked for a long period.
Price per... - If you have many different booking lengths but price per time period is constant, this is a suitable price type. You can choose between price per minute, hour, days, week or month.
Structured Price - If you want to make it cheaper per hour when booking for a longer period, this type is suitable. You can set different prices for different time lengths - hours, days, weeks, and months. Structured Price is therefore not linear in the same way as the "Price per..." type.
You add more time durations by clicking the "New Row" button.
Note! The time durations for the 'Structured Price' type are not linked to the booking durations you created under Product > Durations. If they do not correlate, the system will round up to the nearest defined time length to price the product.
Example:
You have chosen the price lengths of 1 hour (100 SEK) and 4 hours (200 SEK), but the product has booking durations of 1 hor and 2 hours. If the customer choses the booking length of 2 hours, the product will cost 200 SEK.
Within the Structured price type, you can also add 'Price for each extra...', as in the picture above. This allows you to combine the Structured Price type with a linear price increase, which is activated when the booking duration exceeds the longest defined time duration in the price.
The following table explains the Settings Price and Price for each relate, based on the picture above.
Booking duration | Price | Explanation |
1 hour | 200 SEK | Directly linked to the price rule |
2 hours | 400 SEK | Rounded up time-wise to 4 hours |
4 hours | 400 SEK | Directly linked to the price rule |
1 day | 550 SEK | Directly linked to the price rule |
5 days | 3000 SEK | Rounded up time-wise to 1 week |
1 week | 3000 SEK | Directly linked to the price rule |
1 week, 1 day | 3450 SEK | 3000 SEK for a week + 450 SEK for an extra day |
2 weeks | 580 SEK | 3000 SEK for a week + 2800 SEK for an extra week |
2 weeks, 3 days | 7150 SEK | 3000 SEK for a week + 2800 SEK for extra week + 3*450 SEK for 3 extra days |
Bulk Discount
To encourage your customers to buy more, you can offer a bulk discount! A bulk discount is a price reduction offered to customers who purchase a certain amount of a product of at the same start time. The discount can be a percentage of the total cost or a fixed amount. To create a bulk discount, follow these steps.
Create a new price, or 'edit' an already set price for a product.
Click the "Show" button next to the bulk discount.
Select the number of products that must be booked for the discount to apply.
Choose whether the discount should give a percentage discount, enter the percentage of the price that the discount provides. If it is a fixed amount, enter the number of SEK per item that the discount provides.
If you want the bulk discount to only apply during a certain period, create a new seasonal price where you can set your bulk discount for the period that the discount applies.
Example
A facility rents out kayaks for 200 SEK per hour. To increase sales during June, the facility offers a 10% discount when booking at least 3 kayaks.
