Learn how to set seasonal prices for a product.

A seasonal price can apply to certain periods, days of the week or specific start times. It's an excellent way to increase revenue and adjust prices according to demand.

This allows you to raise prices when demand is high, such as during holidays or peak season. With seasonal pricing you can also attract more bookings during your off season by lowering prices.

Here's how to create seasonal prices for a product

Go o Products > Products & Experiences > [Selected Product] > Prices.

  1. First, you need to create a season. Create a new season by clicking the "New schedule" button.

  2. A pop-up window will appear.

    1. Specify the start and end dates of the season.

    2. Deactivate "All start times" if you want to season to only apply to specific start times. Then, you can choose which start times the season should apply to, for example, bookings starting between 12 PM and 4 PM.

    3. If the season should apply to specific days, deactivate "Valid all days" and select the days the season should be active.

    4. If the season should apply to specific months within the start and end dates, deactivate 'Applies to all months" and select the months where the season should be active.

    5. Activate "Advanced interval" if the season should occur at a specific interval i.e, every x day.

    6. Click "Save".

  3. Next, you can add a seasonal price. Click the "New seasonal price" button for the created season.

  4. A new popup window will open. Choose the price category and the price type. If you are unsure which price type is appropriate, you can read more in the article about base prices.

Note! We recommend using 'fixed price' or 'price per...' This is because 'structured price' with overlapping seasons can be calculated incorrectly in the system.

Therefore, remember to double-check that the prices are correct if you use 'Structured Price' in seasonal prices.

5. Add more seasonal prices for other price categories by clicking the "New seasonal price" button again. Read more about how to create price categories and how they work here.

If you want to create other seasonal prices for the same product, go through steps 1-5 again.

Do you have overlapping seasons? Don't forget to rank them by priority!

If a booking overlaps two seasons with different prices, the booking will be priced according to the season with the highest price.

Unsure if the priority order is correct? Create a test booking by clicking "new booking" in the menu and ensure that the product price is correct.

If you allow bookings over multiple days with seasonal prices, be careful with how you set the prices.

Example:

A booking lasts for 1 week. The first three days fall within a season with a weekly price of 50 SEK, and the last four days fall within a season with a weekly price of 100 SEK.

The customer will then need to pay 50 SEK - the four days with the different price will not be counted. Keep this in mind when setting prices for products with varying seasonal prices.
