Learn how to sell a gift card!
A gift card is a type of value code that has a fixed value. When you create value code types, they will appear as products among other main products in the booking view. Read mora about value code types here.
Note! Value code types are not the same as vouchers and discount codes. A value code type is something you can sell to the customer and is displayed as a product in the booking view, while discount codes are created manually by you, for example, if you have a campaign or similar.
Create the value code type "Gift Card"
Go to Products > Value & Discount Codes > Settings.
Here you will find Vouchers sold. Click on "Create new value code type."
Configure the settings for the gift card. The following settings are important:
Value type: Choose Fixed valye/gift card.
Price: Set the selling price of the gift card.
Can be combined with other codes: Activate if you want the punch card to be combinable with other vouchers and discount codes in the same booking.
Active for sale: Must be activated for the punch card to appear in the booking view.
Period of validity: How long the gift card can be used.
Click "Save" 🔒 when you are done.
If this is the first value type code you are creating, you need to activate the sale of vouchers for them to appear in your booking view. Go to Value & Discount Codes > Settings > Sales of codes, and then activate "Activate sales of value codes".
Example: We create the value code type "Gift Card - 1000 SEK," which is a gift card with a value of 1000 SEK.
Create a new value code type.
Name the gift card and add a description.
Select Value Type to Fixed Value/Gift Card.
Set Price to 1000 SEK.
Activate for sale (allow it to appear on your booking page).
Set Validity Period to 365.
Don't forget to save! 🔒.
Done, now the customer can find the value code type "Gift Card - 1000 SEK" along with your other main products!✅
Usage of the gift Card
When a customer buys a gift card, a voucher code is automatically generated, which the customer then receives in the booking confirmation. When the customer later wants to use the stamp card, they enter the code when they fill in their contact details.
