Payment Methods

Adyen offers the following payment options for customers:

  • Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and others but not Amex)

  • Swish (Sweden), Vipps (Norway) or MobilePay (Denmark & Finland)

  • Bank transfer (Trustly)

  • Klarna (invoice and installment payments)

  • ApplePay.

By default, card payments and Swish/Vipps/MobilePay are activated in Adyen. You can manually activate other payment methods once Adyen is connected.

Step-by-step instructions on how to activate additional payment methods.

  1. As an admin, go to Settings > Payment > Adyen (gear icon) > Payment methods to view and select which payment methods should be active.

  2. Click Connect next to the payment method you want to add. Some payment methods need to be reviewed before the connection is completed, which can take up to one hour.

  3. You can change the order in which the payment methods are displayed to customers by using the arrows on the left-hand side of the list to rearrange them.

With Adyen as your payment solution, you can save customers’ card details to charge them for any additional costs at a later stage. Read more here.

If you’d like to connect to Adyen, you can follow the guide here.
