With Adyen, as a BookSpot customer, you get the lowest price among our online payment providers, while simplifying reporting and accounting, as all reports are gathered in BookSpot, so you don't have to handle your online payment provider in a separate platform.
The process to get started is quick— it takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the application. In many cases, if Adyen does not require manual review of your application, you can start accepting payments the same day.

1- Once you’ve double-checked the company details, click Settings > Payments > Adyen (gear icon) > Connect to Adyen.
2- Review the company details carefully and make edits if needed.
3- Click “Connect to Adyen.”

The onboarding link will stop working after a certain time. If this happens, you’ll need to refresh BookSpot and open "Connect to Adyen" again.

Once everything is marked as verified, the application is approved and completed!

The “Payouts” Tab
Unlike other payment solutions, you can view your payouts from Adyen in BookSpot. This can be found when Adyen is activated under Reports > Payouts.
When you click on a date, you will see a summary of all bookings that the payout consists of.
With Adyen, payouts are made to you once a week.
In the summary, you will see:
Date: When the payment occurred.
Booking: The BookSpot ID of the booking.
Type: Here you will see whether it’s a payment or a refund (with refunds, you get back the BookSpot fee).
Amount: The total amount of the payment.
Fees: The transaction fee from Adyen.
BookSpot Fees: The BookSpot fee.
VAT: The VAT on the fees.
Net: The amount you will be paid out for each booking.
You can also download the payout report as an Excel file by clicking "Download" in the top right corner.
FAQs
How do I switch to Adyen mid-season?
Switching to Adyen mid-season is absolutely fine. To make the transition as smooth as possible, just make sure to activate Adyen at the same time as you deactivate your current online payment provider.
This way, you’ll get a “clean cut” in your payment flow, and for the month you make the switch, you can use payout reports from both your previous provider and the one available in BookSpot (for Adyen).
Why am I getting stuck in the Adyen application process?
The application process for Adyen is usually quick and smooth, as it’s automated. However, this relies on you entering all company details correctly and in the proper format.
If you receive an error message, can’t save, or are unable to proceed, it’s likely due to incorrect or incomplete information. In these cases, please double-check your details and you should then be able to continue with your application.
What happens with prepayment for a booking?
For prepayment, Adyen’s and BookSpot’s fees are proportionally deducted from the transaction. The remaining BookSpot fee is deducted either with a later payment or after the booking has taken place, like bookings that are paid outside of Adyen.
How often do I receive payouts with Adyen?
With Adyen, you receive a payout to your bank account once a week.
How do I process a refund with Adyen?
You process a refund/return with Adyen the same way as before. Click here to read how to do a refund/return.
How do I send a payment link with Adyen?
You send a payment link with Adyen the same way as before. Click here to read how to send payment links to your customers.
How do I activate more payment methods?
In Adyen, you can offer your customers the option to pay via Card, Swish, Vipps, MobilePay, Bank Transfer (Trustly), Klarna, and soon also Google Pay and Apple Pay.
By default, card payment and Swish/Vipps/MobilePay are activated.
If you want to offer your customers more options, email us at [email protected] with your company name and the payment methods you want to enable.
Why does my sales amount differ from the payout?
Just like with other payment solutions, your payout will be slightly lower than your sales. This is because the amount paid out is what remains after payment fees and BookSpot fees are deducted.
Your sales minus the fees and VAT will be what you receive in your bank account.
