Learn how to change the capacity for a produkt
Products can generally be categorised into three different types: those with automatically generated start times during opening hours, manually entered start times during opening hours, and manually entered start times regardless of opening hours.
The difference between the categories is, among other things, how to set the capacity for them. Here's how to do it for the three different start time types.
Open Products > Products & Experiences > [selected product) > Availability.
Products set to "Automatically generated start times during opening hours"
Scroll down to the capacity and schedule section
If you're only going to change the max capacity, change the "Maximum capacity field".
If you want to change the scheduled capacity, to the following
Click on new schedule.
Set the maximum capacity in the "Maximum capacity" field.
Set start and end dates for the schedule,
Click "Save".
When setting a scheduled capacity, you specify a new maximum capacity.
Example
If you have 10 kayaks during the regular operation and bring in 5 more for the summer season, the capacity in scheduled availability should be set to 15. The scheduled capacity overrides the base capacity.
Products with Manually entered start times during or regardless of opening hours.
Ensure the product first has booking durations and start times linked to it. Read more about booking durations here and start times in this article. Then school down to the capacity & schedule section.
Click on the pencil igon next to the capacity schedule.
Change the maximum capacity and the start time capcity for all start times.
Click save.
To delete a capacity schedule
Click on the trash can icon, "Remove".
Click on the "Save" button in the upper right corner.
If you have multiple availability schedules, they must be prioritised. Change the order by prioritising the periods with the icon next to the period.
Note! Be careful when changing capacity as this affects upcoming bookings. Reducing capacity risks overbooking because the balance may become negative in the system.
The outstanding bookings that are affected will be marked with and error message stating "Number of [Product] for the selected period only has X left. Your previously desired quantity was Y pcs".
