A product can have a maximum capacity that applies to all times or different capacities for different start times. Here is how it works:
Automatically generated start times during opening hours
For products set to "Automatically generated start times during opening hours", capacity can be set in two different ways: general maximum capacity and scheduled maximum capacity.
General maximum capacity.
A general maximum capacity applies when no specific scheduled capacity is defined. For example, if you have a total of 10 kayaks at your facility and all should be rented out, your maximum capacity is 10.
To set the general maximum capacity, go to Availability > Capacity & Schedule, and fill in the maximum capacity in the field.
Scheduled maximum capacity
If, for example, you temporarily increase the number of kayaks during the summer season to accommodate more bookings, scheduled maximum capacity is useful.
You create a scheduled maximum capacity under Availability > & Capacity and schedule.
Click on "New schedule".
Enter the start and end dates for when the maximum capacity should apply. (To enable the option to add an end date, click "repeat schedule").
Enter the maximum capacity for the period. If your previous maximum capacity was 10 and you add 6 more products, then your new maximum capacity is 16.
Choose whether the product should be available on all or specific days or months during the period, or set an advanced interval.
Click "Save"
If you have multiple scheduled capacities that occur on the same date, they must be prioritised. The schedule highest in the list has the highest priority.
Manually entered start times during opening hours or regardless of opening hours
For manually specified start times, regardless of whether they are linked to opening hours, the maximum capacity is set differently. It is also possible to set start time-specific maximum capacities.
Set a maximum capacity that applies regardless of start time
If all start times in a schedule have the same maximum capacity, this is a suitable setting. The maximum capacity here only applies to the schedule it is linked to, not to other schedules.
Click on the pencil icon next to a schedule block.
Enter the maximum capacity in the field.
Under the start time capacity, fill in the field.
For each start time, enter the same number as the maximum capacity.
Click "Save".
Set a maximum capacity that applies regardless of start time
If one or more start times should vary from the others, the separate start time capacities can be changed.
For example, you may want to reserve some camping sport during lunchtime to set up tables and chairs for a dining area, or provide more course times in the evening than in the morning.
Click on the pencil icon next to a schedule block.
Fill in the actual maximum capacity under max capacity.
For the start time that deviate, enter the capacity that should apply.
Click "Save".
Set no maximum capacity
If each individual start time should have its own capacity, this can be set as follows.
Click on the pencil icon next to a scheduled block.
Check "Set no maximum capacity."
For each start time enter the capacity that should apply.
Click "Save".
Note! Each start time now does not share capacity with the other start times.
For example, if you have 2 start times, each a capacity of 10, and the times overlap, the total maximum capacity for the product is 20.
Don't forget to prioritise you scheduled capacities if you have multiple ones. The highest priority means the highest ranking.
