Learn how booking durations work and how to add and link them to products.
Booking durations are the time frame that each booking takes place, you can have one or more booking durations that your customers can choose from when booking a specific product.
Add booking duration
Go to Product setting >Availability > Durations.
Click on "Create new".
Provide the requested information; name (visible to the customer), number of time units and type of time unit.
You can edit existing durations in the left menu, under Procts > Durations. There, you can set the booking duration to only be visible for administrators.
Click "Save".
Psst! You can change the order in which the booking durations appear in the booking by view dragging the cross arrows to the left of the booking duration.
Different booking durations
Here are some examples of how different time units behave depending on their number:
Time unit | Number of time units | Result |
Minutes | 30 | If the bookings starts Monday at 12:00, it ends Monday at 12:30. |
Hours | 2 | If the booking starts Monday at 12:00, it ends Monday at 14:00. |
Days (to closing) | 1 | If the booking starts Monday at 12:00, it ends Monday at closing time. |
Days (to closing) | 2 | If the booking starts Monday at 12:00, it ends Tuesday at closing time. |
Dygn (24h) | 1 | If the booking starts Monday at 12:00, it ends Tuesdau at 12:00. |
Booking durations work for all different types of start times; both automatic and manually specified start times during opening hours, and manually specified start times independent of opening hours. Learn more about start time types here.
