Learn how to cancel a booking the correct way!
When you get a cancellation, it is imoportant to remove the booking the correct way. How to proceed to make a cancellation, depends on whether there are registered payments or customer information that should be saved or not.
If you do not want to loose the booking information, or if there are registeret payments that are not to be refunded; continue to If there are registered payments or you want to save the booking in your booking history.
If there are no payments or the entire amount is to be refunded.
If the booking isn't paid and shall remain unpaid, you may remove the booking entirely from the system.
You delete a booking, click "Remove" in the bottom left corner in the booking.
If the payment in the booking has to be refunded, do that before removing the booking. You can read about how to make refunds here. After the refund had been made and no remaning payments are left, you may remove tha booking.
NOTE! If the booking still has a payment, for example a cancellation fee; continue to If there are registered payments or you want to save the booking in your booking history.
OBS! If you want to restore a booking, you can do so in the order history up to 30 days after you deleted the booking.

If there is a payment entered that should not be refunded, or if you want to save the booking in the booking history, do not remove the booking. Instead change the quantity of products to 0.
This makes sure that the availability is correct without changing the registered payment or loosing information about the booking or the customer.
By correctly cancelling bookings, you'll have better control of your registered payments. π
