Instead of making a full refund to a customer, perhaps due to the company in the booking has become ill or due to the weather, you may create a gift card to send to the customer. This way, you get to keep the money and the customer has the right to use the remaining value when they book an experience with your business.


This is how you create a gift card from the remaining amount in a booking:

1. Go to the booking.

2. In the booking, below Payment > Gift card, click "Create Gift card" (se image below). There has to be a payment in the booking to have the possibility to create a gift card from the amount.

3. A window opens where you can write the value of the gift card (maximum value is the total amount of the payment), when the last valid day of use is (the last day the customer can create a booking using the code) and write a message. Afterwards press "Create gift card".

4. When you have clicked "Create gift card", the code will be sent to the customers email adress. Se example of how the message looks below.

5. You can find the bookings gift card when you click on the "gift card"- symbol in the booking.

6. If you, as admin want to make changes in the codes you can search for the code in Products > Value & Discount Codes > Vouchers.


By creating gift cards instead of a refund, you won't miss out on income while also keeping your customers happy πŸ™Œ
