About the feature
Margin to closing time
Margin to closing limits how close to the facility's closing time a product can be booked. The setting makes starting times within the given time margin unavailable.
Note: The feature is based on the facility’s opening hours. It therefore affects all products with the start time type “Automatically generated start times during opening hours” or “Manually entered start times during opening hours” that follow these opening hours.
How to activate the function
You as an admin go to Settings (in the left menu) > Bookings.
Go to Booking settings and enter how many minutes before closing time customers should be able to book a product in the field next to Margin to closing time.
Example: 60-minute margin to closing time
Example: 60-minute margin to closing time
The facility closes at 18:00.
You enter 60 minutes in Margin to closing time.
Start times after 17:00 become unavailable for booking.
You get an hour to close the facility in peace.

What is the difference from “Booking time margin”?
Margin to closing time applies to the whole facility and is counted backwards from closing time. Booking time margin is a booking rule per product and sets how long before a start time customers can book at the latest.

The feature is based on the facility’s opening hours. It only affects products with the start time type Automatically generated start times during opening hours or Manually entered start times during opening hours. Products with other start time types are not affected.

No, the setting won’t affect existing bookings, a warning will appear in the booking details that the booking contains unavailable products if you would lika to move the booking to another time.
