In this article, we will show you how to connect BookSpot to MailChimp via Zapier.
Connect BookSpot to MailChimp via Zapier
Create an Account with Zapier - here's how to do it.
Click på "Create zap".
Click on "1. Trigger" and search for BookSpot.
Select an Event, which is the action in BookSpot that will trigger an event in MailChimp. Choose "New Booking" so that an event is triggered when a new booking is created. Then click "Continue".
Click "Sign in" and log in to your BookSpot account. You will need to get your API key. This can be found in the booking system under Settings > Integrations > Zapier > Connect to Zapier.
Click "Generate API Keys", copy the code displayed in the green box, and paste it into Zapier. Then click "Yes, continue to BookSpot".
Proceed in Zapier and test to ensure the trigger retrieves data from your latest bookings in BookSpot.
Click "Continue" and then "Action".
Now select which app should act when a new booking is created. In this example, it will be MailChimp.
ext, choose the event that should occur in MailChimp when a new booking is created in BookSpot. In this example, select "Add/Update Subscriber" because we want a contact to be automatically created in MailChimp when someone makes a booking. Click "Continue".
Next you will need to log in to your MailChimp account in the window that appears. Once logged in, you should see that your MailChimp account is connected in Zapier.
Then choose which data should be transferred to MailChimp when a new booking is created in BookSpot. This includes selecting the list (Audience) where you want the contact to be added, as well as the customer’s contact details such as email, first name, and last name.
Here, you need to tell Zapier that the "Customer email" field in BookSpot corresponds to the "Subscriber Email" in MailChimp. You can also choose to map the fields for first name, last name, and phone number.
Once done, click "Continue" and then "Test Step". You can go to your MailChimp account to check if a contact is added correctly.
When everything is set up correctly, click "Publish" - DONE!
By automating integrations with Zapier, you can minimize the time spent on administrative tasks 🙌
