Tripletex integration via BookSpot

For Norwegian companies looking to automate their accounting, there is the option to use BookSpot’s Tripletex integration. This article explains all the steps required to activate the integration, as well as the key points to keep in mind.

To use the Tripletex integration, you need to have an active Tripletex account. If you already have an account, proceed to the Tripletex section below.

If you are not yet using Tripletex but are interested in switching accounting systems in order to use the integration, you can create an account via their website here.


Tripletex

Log in to Tripletex and go to “My subscription” > “Integrations.”

Ensure that your Tripletex subscription includes integration features or activate them if required. If you need assistance, please contact Tripletex support or book a meeting via their website here.


Create an API key in Tripletex

To connect BookSpot and Tripletex, you need to create an API key by following these steps:

  1. Click “New key” in Tripletex

  2. Select “All permissions” to allow automated accounting management

  3. Choose “BookSpot” as the application name

  4. Enter a name for the key, for example “BookSpot token”

  5. Click “Create key”

  6. Copy the key and go to BookSpot to complete the connection


Connect Tripletex in BookSpot

  1. Log in to BookSpot

  2. Go to Settings > Integrations

  3. Approve the integration terms and accept the fee of NOK 199/month.
    The integration fee will be added to your monthly invoices from BookSpot.

  4. Click “Activate.”

  5. Paste the API key you retrieved from Tripletex.


Set up accounting rules

Once the connection is active, you will need to configure how the accounting should be carried out. Map the account types to your preferred account numbers in Tripletex.

It is important that everything is set up correctly to ensure the accounting is accurate and can be managed automatically in line with your chart of accounts.

The integration is currently in a beta phase. We therefore recommend monitoring the accounting closely at the start to ensure everything is correct. If you notice any discrepancies, please contact BookSpot support directly.


FAQs

What is an API key?
It is a secure key that allows BookSpot and Tripletex to communicate with each other.

Can I change which account number something is posted to?
Yes, you can change the accounts for VAT rates and product mappings at any time. However, this will not affect accounting that has already been completed, only the automated postings made after the change.

What happens when the integration is active?
Once the integration is active and the initial import has been completed, BookSpot will automatically send accounting data to Tripletex.
